Scott Hartley describes in his influential book “The fuzzy and the techie” how innovation often originates from the interplay of technologists and liberal arts. As a proto-typical fuzzy, I have always admired techies for what they know and how they make things. And I always tried to learn from them – in the fuzzy way that I was trained in. Working in tech companies for me is a privilege as I can keep learning.

In what sense am I “fuzzy”? I studied history of art & philosophy close-by in Tübingen and Chapel Hill, NC/USA. I received my PhD in Philosophy at the intersection of Linguistics, Semantics and the Philosophy of Mind. Shortly after that I started exploring the world of software enterprise before joining Festo Didactic in October 2018.

Here some more details for those who are interested:

  • 2005 – 2018: SAP SE, Walldorf / Germany

On the private side of life, I am married with the girl I met in high-school and we have a great 13 years old son. Among my hobbies are skiing, running, sailing …
